Credit Ratings integrated in Bond screener
The credit ratings from Fitch, Moody's and S&P was integrated in the "Bond Screener" as additional screening parameters.
This allows you to identify, screen and refine bonds based on their respective rating in addition to the existing powerful screening.
One approach is to identify which bonds meets your criteria's according to mandate or investment profile:
For example, screen for corporate bonds in EUR and apply the ratings filter for investment grade limits respectively. Because the three rating agencies operate with different scales, the sources are kept separate:
This gives us a list of 415 bonds which we may in turn refine further through sectors, coupon type and so on and ultimately investigate in individual bond overview or dropped into a watchlist for further analysis as a target group.
The other approach would be to investigate the bond ratings of a single Issuer or specific Industry to identify differences:
Amazon's bonds enjoy largely consistent ratings. However, Fitch and S&P, which operate with the same scale, rate them differently and certain bonds also deviate from the general rating. Probably due to properties and terms of the loans such as seniority, redemption price and other specifics of the loan independent of Amazon as an issuer. These relations ca be further analysed in the "Bond Overview".
